Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 3/4 cups wheat flour


  • 1/4 cups cocoa powder


  • 1/2 tsp baking powder


  • 1/2 tsp salt


  • 3/4 cups sugar


  • 1/4 cups oil


  • 1/4 cups thick curd


  • 1/4 cups warm milk


  • 1 tsp vanilla extract


  • 1/2 cups walnut,coarsely broken

Directions

  • Sieve the flour and all the dry ingredients add in a large bowl and keep aside .
  • Grease the cake tin using oil , dust it with flour . Chop walnuts and add 1/2 of them in the flour mix . Keep the rest aside .
  • Preheat the oven 180°C for 10 minutes .
  • In a large bowl mix all the wet ingredients and gently fold in the flour mix into the bowl and keep mixing with a spatula . Add 1tablespoons of extra milk if required , to get the thick batter consistency . Mix only till all the ingredients gets mixed without any lumps .
  • Pour it into the greased cake tin , tap and level it . Add the remaining chopped walnuts on top .
  • Place the cake tin in the preheated oven and bake for 20 minutes . Prick it with a toothpick inserted right in the clean then cake is ready .
  • Take it out and let it cool and slowly de - mould it .
