Ingredients

Serves : 6
  • 3/4 cups whole wheat flour


  • 3 tbsp cocoa powder


  • 1 tsp baking powder


  • 1/4 tsp baking soda


  • 1/2 tsp instant coffee powder diluted in 1 tbsp of warm water


  • 3/4 cups powder sugar


  • 1/3 cups butter/oil


  • 1/4 cups curd


  • 3/4 cups milk


  • 1/2 tsp vanilla essence


  • 2 tbsp amonds chopped

Directions

  • sift flour, baking powder, soda and cocoa powder together
  • in a bowl beat butter and sugar
  • add curd, essence and coffee mix
  • beat again
  • add milk and dry mixture alternatively
  • mix well and make a smooth batter
  • pour the batter into a greased tin and sprinkle the almonds on the top
  • tap down the tin and place in the preheated oven
  • bake at 180c for 30 minutes
  • remove from oven and let it cool on wire rack
  • cut the cake and serve with a cup of tea or cofee
