Whole Wheat Flour Banana Muffins

  • Whole wheat flour 1 1/2 cups

  • Powder Sugar 3/4 cups

  • Ripe Banana 2-3 nos

  • Vanilla Essence 2 tsp

  • Baking powder 1 tsp

  • Baking Soda 1/2 tsp

  • Salt 1 pinch

  • Milk if required to adjust consistency 1 tbsp

  • Oil or White Butter 3/4 cups

  • Tutty Fruity 1/2 tbsp


  • Take a plate or mixing bowl and sift whole wheat flour, salt, sugar , baking powder and soda 2 to 3 times and keep aside
  • Puree ripe banana into smooth paste
  • Add vanilla Essence and butter to pureed banana and mix well into a homogeneous mixture
  • Now add dry sifted material in to banana wet mixture gradually and mix lightly in to one direction till smooth lump free batter (add little milk if required to adjust the consistency)
  • Grease Muffins moulds with some oil or butter
  • Preheat oven on 200 degrees for 10 minutes
  • Pour ready batter in to greased moulds till 3/4 th level , lastly sprinkle some tutty fruity (optional)
  • Bake muffins in 180 degrees for 20 minutes and keep inside the oven till completely cold
