Ingredients

Serves 4

  • Apple ,grated 1 cups

  • Milk 4 1/4 cups

  • Honey 1 tsp

  • Kishmish 15 nos

  • Almonds 5 nos

  • Cardamom Powder 2 tsp

  • Saffron Strands 4-5 nos

  • Dried Rose Petals 2-3 nos

Directions

    Boil milk on medium heat until it reduces to 3/4 its original quantity. Keep stirring, so that it does not get burnt.keep aside.

    Add honey and let it dissolve completely. Remove from heat.

    Now take another wok and heat it. Add grated apple and dry roast it. Keep sauteeing till apple softens. When apple softens, switch off the flame.

    Add the sauteed apple, saffron milk, cardamom powder in reduced milk. and mix well.

    Cook on low heat for a few seconds and remove from heat. Leave it to cool completely.

    Then add the kishmish , chopped almonds & rose petals and refrigerate for 2 hours

  • 07

    This apple payasam can be served chilled or hot.
