Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 1 cups apple ,grated


  • 4 1/4 cups milk


  • 1 tsp honey


  • 15 nos kishmish


  • 5 nos almonds


  • 2 tsp cardamom powder


  • 4-5 nos saffron strands


  • 2-3 nos dried rose petals

Directions

  • Boil milk on medium heat until it reduces to 3/4 its original quantity. Keep stirring, so that it does not get burnt.keep aside.
  • Add honey and let it dissolve completely. Remove from heat.
  • Now take another wok and heat it. Add grated apple and dry roast it. Keep sauteeing till apple softens. When apple softens, switch off the flame.
  • Add the sauteed apple, saffron milk, cardamom powder in reduced milk. and mix well.
  • Cook on low heat for a few seconds and remove from heat. Leave it to cool completely.
  • Then add the kishmish , chopped almonds & rose petals and refrigerate for 2 hours
  • This apple payasam can be served chilled or hot.
