  • 300 gms barley

  • 1 nos onion chopped

  • 3 nos garlic cloves nicely chopped

  • 1/2 inch ginger nicely chopped

  • 1 nos small red chili chopped

  • 1 nos spring onion green part,chopped

  • 1 nos carrot,nicely chopped

  • 3 tsp fresh coriander chopped

  • 3/4 cups mix(green, red, yellow) pepper chopped

  • 2 tsp oil for cooking

  • 3/4 tsp salt or as per taste

  • 1/4 tsp black pepper powder

  • 1/4 tsp red chili flakes


  • First washed Barley nicely and soaked it for 5 hours,after 5 hours,cook it in same water for 10 mins,drain it,and consume it's water for next step.
  • Now heat oil in pan add chopped garlic and ginger, after a min add chopped onion, when translucent add chopped red chilli and carrot in it and add already consumed barley water to cook.
  • Now add cooked barley,salt, chopped mix pepper and cook it for 3 to 4 mins.
  • Add chopped coriander and spring onion,black pepper powder and mix.
  • Now Barley Soup is ready to serve,now serve this soup hot for more taste with sprinkle some red chilli flakes over it.
