Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 1 1/2 cups semolina /suji /rawa


  • 3/4 cups sugar


  • 1 pinch salt


  • 3/4 cups oil or white butter


  • 2 tsp vanilla essence


  • 1 tsp baking powder


  • 1/2 tsp baking soda


  • 1 1/2 cups milk

Directions

  • In a mixing bowl take semolina, sugar, milk, oil , pinch of salt and Essence
  • Mix well mixture and keep it covered for half an hour
  • It will be a thick batter after some time
  • Keep pressure cooker for preheating
  • Remove rubber ring and whistle from cooker lid
  • Now after half an hour batter must be thick like idli batter or add some milk to adjust consistency
  • Grease cake mould and keep ready
  • Keep a stand in the bottom of cooker or some salt or sand
  • Add Baking soda and powder to semolina mixture and mix well and then Pour ready batter in to greased cake mould
  • Carefully keep cake mould in to the Preheated cooker and close the lid
  • Bake it on very low heat for approximately 20 to 25 minutes
  • Keep checking in between and allow it to cool completely and then demould the cake
  • Cut it and enjoy the perfectly cooker baked semolina Cake
