Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 1 cups grated coconut


  • 4 nos green chillies


  • 2 nos red chillies


  • 4 nos garlic


  • 1 nos chopped tomato,big


  • 2 tsp oil


  • 1 tbsp gram dhal/ kadala paruppu


  • 1-2 pinch salt,to taste


  • 1 sprig brahmi leaves, tulsi, betel leaf. karporavalli / kanikoorkai leaf, coriander leaves, curry leaves, mint/ pudina leaves,all together

Directions

  • Clean Wash all the leaves well and drain the excess water and keep aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan, add gram dal and red chillies and fry till gram dhal turns golden colour.
  • Add garlic, green chillies and fry till the garlic turns golden colour.
  • Add grated coconut fry for few seconds in medium flame.
  • Finally add all our herbal beauties and mix well with the coconut and fry for 2 minutes.
  • Remove from flame and add needed salt.
  • Allow it to cool and grind in a mixer to a smooth paste.
  • Add very little amount of water while grinding, that too if needed.
  • Healthy yummy, nutrition packed green herbal beauty chutney / thuvayal is ready to serve with dosas, idlis, rotis rice etc.
