Parboiled Rice 1/4 cups
Green whole moong dal 1/4 cups
Chana dal 1/4 cups
Red Masoor / Toor dal 1/4 cups
Small Onion 1 nos
Green Chili 2 nos
Curry Leaves 10 nos
Asafoetida 1/4 tsp
Salt 1 tsp
ginger 1 inch
Wash and soak the lentils and rice in enough water for a couple of hours.
Drain out the water.
Grind the soaked and all remaining ingredients adding fresh water as required into a thick yet smooth batter.
Heat a griddle/skillet/Tava on medium to high heat.
Heat a couple of drops of oil on the griddle and once it is hot, smear and wipe off the oil with a paper towel.
Pour a ladle full of batter and with circular motions spread the batter evenly like regular dosa.
Drizzle oil on its sides and center. Cook until golden and flip. Cook on the other side for a couple of seconds.
Fold and serve hot with coconut chutney, sambhar, spicy podi etc.
