cook moong daal in 2cup of water in pressure cooker for 5/6 whistles on medium to high flame.the pressure cooker settle down on its own than remove the lid.
again add the chopped veggies,turmeric powder,red chilli powder,ginger and chilli paste,salt and 1cup water.
again wait for 1whistle,once pressure cooker settles down on its own,remove the lid.and add the Sambar powder and tamarind pulp.if the consistency of sambar daal look is thick than add some water.
in a pan,heat oil add mustard seeds,after fenugreek seeds,dry chillies,chopped garlic,hing,curry leaves fry it till look golden brown.
pour the whole tempering in the ssteaming samber daal.cooked for few minutes.now serve it with idli.
