Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 500 gm palak (spinach)


  • 150 gm paneer (cottage cheese)


  • 1 onion chopped


  • 1 inch ginger piece


  • 1 /2 tsp Garlic paste


  • 2-3 tomatoes chopped


  • 2-3 green chillies finely chopped


  • 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds (jeera)


  • 1 tsp red chilly powder


  • 1 tsp salt (as per taste)


  • 3-4 tbsp butter


  • 1/2 tsp Garam Masala

Directions

  • Wash spinach 2-3 times in water. Cut it. Add onion, tomatoes, green chillies, garlic paste & ginger piece.
  • Cook it on medium flame in pressure cooker until 2 whistles. Let it cool.
  • Once cooled. Grind it in Mixer grinder in smooth paste.
  • Cut paneer in square pieces. Shallow fry on Tawa until light brown.
  • For tempering heat butter in Kadhai. Add 1/4 tsp Cumin seeds. Once sauted. Add 1/4 tsp ginger garlic paste. Red chilli powder & salt. Mix well. Saute for 1 minute. Add spinach puree. Mix properly. Add Paneer pieces. Cook it on slow flame for 4-5 minutes until puree get thickens.
  • Serve with butter Nan or Jeera rice.
