  • Basmati Rice 100 gms

  • Sugar 6-7 tbsp

  • Cardamoms 6 nos

  • Cinnamon Powder 1 tsp

  • NOVA Butter or NOVA Ghee 4 tbsp

  • 2 colours resembling our flag - green and saffron 2 pinch

  • Nuts of your choice 1/2 cups


  • Soak rice for about 20 minutes. Cook and drain as usual. Keep aside.
  • Divide it into 3 equal parts.
  • Keep white rice as it is, while adding the respective colours to the other 2 parts.
  • Take the white part of the rice in a pan and add about 1 1/2 tbsp of ghee as well as sugar. Add in a pinch of cinnamon powder and 2 cardamom pods.
  • Cover and cook for 5 minutes. Until the sugar melts and gives the rice a beautiful shine and glaze.
  • Do the same process to the other 2 portions of rice.
  • Assemble like our national tricolour flag in small shot glasses.
