Basmati Rice 100 gms
Sugar 6-7 tbsp
Cardamoms 6 nos
Cinnamon Powder 1 tsp
NOVA Butter or NOVA Ghee 4 tbsp
2 colours resembling our flag - green and saffron 2 pinch
Nuts of your choice 1/2 cups
Soak rice for about 20 minutes. Cook and drain as usual. Keep aside.
Divide it into 3 equal parts.
Keep white rice as it is, while adding the respective colours to the other 2 parts.
Take the white part of the rice in a pan and add about 1 1/2 tbsp of ghee as well as sugar. Add in a pinch of cinnamon powder and 2 cardamom pods.
Cover and cook for 5 minutes. Until the sugar melts and gives the rice a beautiful shine and glaze.
Do the same process to the other 2 portions of rice.
Assemble like our national tricolour flag in small shot glasses.
