Ingredients

Serves 2

  • Green bell peppers 2 nos

  • All purpose flour 3/4 cups

  • Cornflour 1 tbsp

  • Baking powder 1/2 tsp

  • Paprika 1 tsp

  • Garlic powder 1 tsp

  • Salt 1/2 tsp

  • Buttermilk 1 cups

  • Panko bread crumbs 2 cups

  • Vegetable oil enough to deep fry properly 4-5 cups

Directions

    Rinse the bell peppers and cut into 1/4 inch thick slices.

    Combine all purpose flour, cornflour, salt, baking powder, paprika and garlic powder.

    Coat the rings in flour mixture and keep aside.

  • 04

    Add in enough buttermilk to flour mixture to form a free flowing batter.

  • 05

    Dip each ring into the batter and take out. Shake off the excess batter away.

  • 06

    Coat with bread crumbs.

  • 07

    Heat oil in a pan. Fry the rings until golden, flipping once.

    Let the rings drain in cooling rack in single layer.

  • 09

    Salt lightly as soon as the rings come out of the oil. (*Optional)

    Enjoy right away.
