Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 1 cups boiled moong dal


  • 1 tsp cumin seeds


  • 1/2 tsp mustard seeds


  • 1 nos dry red chillies


  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste


  • 1 tsp turmeric powder


  • 1/2 tsp red chilly powder


  • 1 tsp coriander powder


  • 1/2 tsp udupi ruchi garam masala powder


  • 2 nos chopped green chillies


  • 2 nos tomatoes (chopped)


  • 1/4 tsp asfoetida


  • 1 tsp salt


  • 2 tbsp ghee/refined oil

Directions

  • Heat a kadhai with ghee/refined oil. Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds and chopped green chillies. Then add the ginger garlic paste, saute for some time. Add the asfoetida.
  • Then add the chopped tomatoes and salt. Stir and cook on a low flame for few minutes.
  • Then add the powdered masalas and give it a stir. Cook till the masala leaves oil and then add the boiled dal.
  • Mix and add water. Let the dal boil, check for seasoning and serve.
