Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 2 cups maida


  • 1 cups curd


  • 1 tsp cumin seeds


  • 1/2 tsp asafoetida


  • 1 nos onions,finely chopped


  • 1 nos green chili,finely chopped


  • 1/2 inch ginger piece,finely chopped


  • 1/2 cups coriander leaves,finely chopped


  • 1/84 cups curry leaves,finely chopped


  • 1 tsp salt


  • 1/2 tsp cooking soda


  • 2 cups oil

Directions

  • Mix all the above ( except cooking soda) and soak for at least 3-4 hours.
  • Heat up oil and mix the batter once before you start off.
  • Add cooking soda if you prefer more soft and fluffy bonda.
  • Mix cooking soda with water and add for better mixing.
  • Now use a ladle to drop off the batter into oil.
  • Fry them to golden  brown , flip and remove off oil.
  • Note : Don't crowd the oil. Drop on batches. Not more than 5 - 6 in a batch. See to that you don't take much time in between every bonda you drop.
