Ingredients
Serves 4
FOR KOFTA -Grated paneer 150 gms
Boiled potatoes/ aloo 1 cups
Kismis/ raisins 20 nos
Bread slices 2 nos
Salt/ namak (to taste) 1/2 tsp
FOR GRAVY -Malai/ cream 1 cups
Tomatoe puree 1 cups
Curd/ dahi 1/2 cups
Kaju/ cashew paste 2 tbsp
Cumin seeds/ jeera 1/2 tsp
Turmeric/ haldi, red chili/ lal mirch powder, coriander/ dhaniya powder, garam masala, sugar/ cheeni and salt/ namak according to taste or each 1/2 tsp
Ginger, garlic and green chili paste 1 tsp
Oil/ tel for gravy and remaining for deep frying kofte 2 tbsp
Chopped coriander leaves 2 tbsp
Directions
Cut brown edges of the bread and take a mixing bowl. Add bread, paneer, mashed potatoes and salt to make a dough.
Divide the dough into 10-12 equal parts.
Take a portion and make a flat ball and stuff 2 pieces of kismish and make a round ball.
Heat oil in a pan for deep fry kofta. Add kofta and fry it on a medium flame until golden in colour.
Heat oil in a pan, add jeera. Add whole garam masala and saute for 2 minutes on low flame.
Now add ginger, garlic and chili paste and saute for 2 minutes on low flame. Add kaju paste saute again for 5 minutes.
Add tomato puree and red chili powder, coriander powder and turmeric saute until masala separates oil on medium flame
Add beaten curd and malai and continuously stir the curry until gravy starts boiling. Now add enough water and add sugar and salt.
Cook for 7-8 minutes on medium flame. Switch off the gas and add kofta and chopped coriander in the gravy
Delicious 'Malai Kofta Curry' is ready to be served!
