Serves 4

  • For Gatte,green peas 2 cups

  • garlic nicely chopped 2-3 nos

  • ginger nicely chopped 1/2 tsp

  • cumin seeds 1/2 tsp

  • salt 1/4 tsp

  • oil for peas paste and frying 1/2 cups

  • For Gravy,onion roughly chopped 1 nos

  • garlic garlic roughly chopped 3-4 nos

  • ginger chopped 1/2 inch

  • tomato roughly chopped 2 nos

  • termeric powder 1/4 tsp

  • cumin seeds 1/2 tsp

  • corriender seeds 1 tsp

  • fresh coriander with leaves 4 sprig

  • fresh green chilli roughly chopped 2 nos

  • fresh methi chopped 1/2 cups

  • tomato puree 2 tsp

  • red chilli powder 1/2 tsp

  • tomato ketchup 1 tsp

  • fresh maava 2 tsp

  • fresh cream 2 tsp

  • sugar 1 tsp

  • Udupi Ruchi garam masala 1/4 tsp

  • kewra essence 4 drop

  • salt 1/2 tsp

  • oil for making gravy 3 tsp

  • fresh chopped coriander for garnish 3 tsp

  • onion nicely chopped 1 nos

    First take peas in mixer jar and make paste of it,now hot oil in pan add cumin seeds when cracked add onion after a minute add chopped garlic and ginger and boil peas paste,salt in it,mix well and simmer it.

    Now prepare a steamer, transfer this simmer peas mixture in greased bowl and keep it in steamer for steamed, when fork test is pass then keep out from steamer and left to cool it,when it cool cut in optional shape and size

    Now heat oil in pan and fry all the cut pieces of peas and keep aside it for next step

    For Gravy,take deep pan add roughly chopped onion, ginger, garlic green chillies, tomato, fresh coriander with stem, corriender and cumin seeds, termeric powder,some salt and boil it till tomato nicely cook.

    When tomato cook, transfer in mixer jar and make nice paste and strain the paste.

    Boil water in pan,add fresh methi in it,after 2 min strain water and keep aside.

    Now heat oil in kadhai,add boiled methi in it,after a min add tomato puree,after a min add strain tomato paste,red chilli powder in it and stir it.

    When Gravy start to thick,add tomato ketchup after a min add one by one maava,sugar,garam masala,fresh cream, now add fry peas cubes and mix carefully.finish it With kewra drops and garnish with freah coriander.

    Now Peas Gatte With Methi Makhani is ready to serve,serve hot for more taste with naan or chapati.

    Add fry Peas Gatte at time to serve.
