Jujube/Indian Plum Pudding Tartlets

Ingredients

Serves : 5
  • 1 cups for the tartlets- all purpose flour


  • 1/2 cups nova butter cut into cubes


  • 1/8 tsp salt


  • 1/4 cups water to make the dough


  • 1/2 kgs for the filling of jujube pudding you will need jujube fruits


  • 1/2 kgs sugar


  • 100 gms fresh cream


  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg powder


  • 1 cups water ,


  • 2 tbsp almonds soaked


  • 1/4 cups extra cream to garnish

Directions

  • Cook the jujube fruits on medium flame for about 10 mins until tender
  • Meanwhile prepare the dough for the tartlets.
  • Add the butter in the flour and keep rubbing with hands until it combines well.
  • Add sufficient water to make a smooth dough and refrigerate it for 30 mins. It is important.
  • After 30 mins, divide the dough into medium sized balls and make them on the back side of your muffin pan if you don't have tartlet moulds.
  • Prick them with a fork all over so that they don't puff up.
  • Bake them in a preheated oven on 180° for about 18 mins.
  • Keep them aside to cool.
  • Meanwhile work on your pudding. Blend the cooked jujube along with all the ingredients until smooth and fluffy.
  • Fill it up in the cooled baked tartlets and top up with a small dollop of fresh cream and sliced jujube fruits.
  • Serve them chilled. Keep them refrigerated and covered until you are ready to serve.
