Carrots peeled and grated 2 kgs
Condensed milk 500 ml
Sugar 1/2 cups
Cardamom powder 1 tbsp
NOVA Milk 3/4 litre
Dry fruits like almonds and cashew nuts slivered 1 cups
NOVA Ghee or NOVA butter 1 cups
Fresh cream 100 gms
Mawa / khoya 1 cups
saffron threads dissolved in 2 tbsp of milk 2-5 nos
Wash and grate your carrots and set aside .
Put the grated carrots in a preferably large non stick pot .
Mix in the milk well before putting it on a medium high flame for about 20-25 minutes .
Occasionally keep stirring . At the end of the duration , see to it that there is no raw smell left and that it is well cooked .
At this point , add in the sugar , consensed milk , half of the dry fruits , cardamom powder and ghee .
Let this sit on flame for another 10-15 minutes .
Leave it to cool down a bit .
Before serving, mix in the fresh cream and also sprinkle fresh grated khoya or mawa with loads of mixed dry fruits
