Ingredients

Serves 5

  • Tapioca/Kappa 1 kgs

  • Shallots (Kunjulli) 5 nos

  • green chillies 3-4 nos

  • Crushed Garlic Cloves 5 nos

  • Dry Red Chillies 3 nos

  • Curry Leaves 1 sprig

  • turmeric powder 1/4 tsp

  • CuminPowder 1/4 tsp

  • Oil 1 tbsp

  • Mustard Seeds 1/4 tsp

  • Salt 1 tsp

  • Water 1 cups

Directions

    Peel the thick brown and thin pink skin from tapioca and cut it into small pieces,Wash it well

    Boil the tapioca pieces along with salt and a pinch of turmeric until it is fork tender

    Drain the water and keep it aside

  • 04

    Heat oil in a pan and splutter mustard seeds

  • 05

    Add shallots, green chillies, garlic, red chillies, curry leaves and saute till the shallots begin to turn golden brown

  • 06

    Add a pinch of turmeric and cumin and saute for a minute

  • 07

    Add the boiled tapioca pieces and mix well

  • 08

    You can mash the tapioca pieces lightly

  • 09

    Serve Hot
