Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 1-1 1/4 cups mixed vegetables(as you desire)


  • 1 cups basmati rice


  • 1 nos onion


  • 3 nos green chili


  • 1 1/2 cups coconut milk (or plain water)


  • 1 pinch salt


  • 1 tsp ghee


  • 4 nos garlic


  • 1 inch ginger piece


  • 1 piece cinnamon,small


  • 1 tsp oil


  • 2 nos cardamom


  • 2 nos cloves


  • 1 nos bay leaf

Directions

  • Chop vegetables into small pieces so it will be easily cooked and keep this aside
  • Soak basmati rice for 30 mins and drain it off
  • Grind ginger,garlic and cinnamon with litttle water into fine paste
  • Heat oil in a small pressure cooker and temper it with adding cardamoms,cloves and bay leaf
  • Now add onion,green chilli and fry it till it become transparent,Add ginger garlic paste too
  • Stir the mix well for 1 min and add vegetables,fry this under medium flame for approx 2 min
  • Now add rice and mix this well
  • Drop salt,coconut milk and bring it to boil
  • Now close pressure cooker and cook it under low flame for 15 min or upto 2 whistles(use medium flame)
  • Open the lid and give it a good stir before serving,you can add little ghee for extra taste
  • Serve Hot
