Break coconut and grate one portion of it and keep aside
Clean green gram well in fresh water
Pressure cook green gram also make sure that it is not over cooked
Remove the layers of vazha chundu and chop it very finely
Now the mix these chopped pieces with coconut oil and turmeric powder with your hands
Add grated coconut, green chilies , garlic,cumin seeds and curry leaves to a mixer bowl and make it into coarse form
Mix this with the kudappan pieces
Heat oil in kadai and splutter mustard seeds
Saute dry red chilies,rice and curry leaves in kadai
Now add the kudappan mix and mix it well
Cook under the lid in low flame
After 3 mins,open the lid and add cooked green gram and mix it
Cook under lid for sometime or till its done
