Mix the grated lauki and milk together, heat it a heavy bottomed kadhai. Keep stirring in midst and boil till the milk reaches half it's quantity.
Then add the the sugar, Kesar in milk and mix. Once the sugar is dissolved, then add the khoya and cardamom powder and mix.
Cook this mixture till it forms a non sticky dough and leaves the sides of the kadhai. This might take about 20-25 minutes.
Pour this mixture into a greased tray and let it cool. Cut it into desired shapes.
P.S: this might take about 5-6 hrs to set.
