Ingredients

Serves : 5
  • 1 cups rice flour


  • 3 tbsp urad dal powder


  • 1/2 tsp salt


  • 1/4 tsp hing


  • 1 tsp carrom seeds


  • 1 1/2 tsp sesame seeds


  • 1 tsp oil


  • oil 3 cups

Directions

  • Heat oil in a kadai
  • In a mixing bowl add everything and mix properly.
  • Then add water 1tbsp at a time and start kneading it
  • Slowly it will form a dough shape. It should be soft dough but not like rotis.
  • Bring a murukku maker and grease it properly. Then place a murukku mould in that. Fill the murukku mould with the dough. Place butter paper or a silver foil on a thali.
  • Slowly press the maker and prepare the murukkus on the thali.
  • Then slowly and lightly lift the murukkus from the plate slide in the oil. Fry it up to crispy.
  • Then bring this out to a tissue paper. Then store in a air tight container. It can be stored for 15days.
