Ingredients

  • 1 cups raw rice


  • 3-4 tbsp curd


  • 1/4 cups sugar


  • 1/2 tsp cardamom powder


  • 2 tbsp nova ghee


  • 4 tbsp sesame seeds


  • 2 cups oil for frying

Directions

  • Soak rice in clean drinking water after rinsing it well.
  • Change the water every day.
  • The rice should be spread under the fan until it just dries up not fully and still somewhat wet.
  • Grind this rice coarsely, it should not be a fine powder.
  • Mix ghee and curd along with the sugar in this ground rice and using some water should be kneaded into a dough.
  • Water can be used accordingly.
  • Cover this dough with a wet cloth and leave it on the kitchen counter for a further 10 hours.
  • After 10 hours, pinch small balls out of this dough, roll in the sesame seeds and deep fry.
  • Deep fry these on low to medium flame for even cooking and a nice colour.
  • They can be made into disc shaped or ball shaped as desired.
  • Serve them immediately or store them in airtight containers and relish upto 15 days.
