Ingredients

Serves : 6
  • Basmati rice 2 cups


  • Condensed Milk 1 cups


  • Cloves 6 nos


  • Cinnamon Powder 1 tsp


  • Green Cardamoms 6 nos


  • NOVA Ghee 3-4 tbsp


  • Mixed nuts slivered 1/2 cups


  • Nutmeg powder 1/4 tsp


  • Fresh cream 1/2 cups


  • Any food colour of choice 1/4 tsp

Directions

  • First of all soak rice for 20 minutes atleast.
  • Cook it little mushy adding the colour of your choice.
  • Unlike zarda in which rice is cooked al dente, here it is made little soft.
  • Now in a pan, heat ghee and add all the whole spices including the cinnamon powder too.
  • Next, add in the condensed milk along with the cooked rice followed by nuts.
  • Cream can also be added to enhance the taste further.
  • As soon as the ghee starts leaving the sides of the pan, switch off the flame.
  • Shape into laddus and serve these either warm or chilled.
