Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 2 cups besan


  • 5-6 nos garlic cloves,finely chopped


  • 2 nos onions, medium sized finely chopped


  • 4 nos green chillies,finely chopped


  • 1 nos capsicum,large diced


  • 2 tbsp salt


  • 1 tsp red chili powder


  • 2 tsp asafoetida


  • 2 tsp udupi ruchi garam masala


  • 4 cups water


  • 2 tsp turmeric powder

Directions

  • Heat 1 tbsp oil and stir fry onions,garlic n green chillies.
  • Take a separate pan and make a runny batter with besan n water including salt,chilly powder,garam masala, asafoetida but check if there's a lump,mix properly.
  • Now add turmeric to the sauteed vegetables and cook a little.
  • Add capsicum to this and cook covered for 5 minutes.
  • Add besan solution to it and keep stiring till it reaches to the thick n sticky consistency.
  • Grease a tin and pour thick batter over that.
  • Pat with a spatula to make it a smooth surface.
  • Cut into pieces and roast these pieces from both sides on tava using little oil.
  • Serve hot with green chutneys.
