Ingredients

Serves 5

  • Chana dal 1 cups

  • Cooking Oil 1 cups

  • ginger 1 piece

  • Shallots 10 nos

  • Salt 1 tbsp

  • Dry Red Chilies 3 nos

  • Curry Leaves 1 sprig

Directions

    Soak dal in water for 2hr to drain

  • 02

    Chop chillies, shallots, ginger and curry leaves

  • 03

    Grind dal to a coarse paste without add water ( not grind it to smooth paste)

    Add chopped ingredients into it

  • 05

    Add salt and mix well

  • 06

    Wet your hand and make equal size balls with the mixture

    Make balls as round shape by press it

  • 08

    Pour enough oil into a deep bottom pan and heat it

    When the oil is hot reduce flame to medium

  • 10

    Deep fry the vadas by turning both sides till golden brown color

  • 11

    Serve it
