Ingredients

Serves 10

  • Rice flour 4 cups

  • Roasted urad dal powder 1/2 cups

  • Roasted Fried Gram Daal Powder 6 tbsp

  • Hot water or as needed to make soft dough 1/2 cups

  • Nova Butter 1/4 cups

  • Jaggery 4 cups

  • Sugar 2 cups

  • Dry Ginger Powder 1/2 tsp

  • Coconut and Cashews 10 piece

  • Ghee/Clarified Butter 1 tsp

  • Oil for deep frying 1/2 litre

Directions

    Make a soft dough by adding enough hot water to rice flour, roastedurad dal powder and roasted fried gram powder. After kneading add butter and knead again to form a soft dough.

    Now heat oil and using a sev maker machine squeeze the dough in hot oil.

    Fry till golden brown.

  • 04

    Now lightly crush them.

  • 05

    Fry coconut and cashews in ghee/clarified butter.

    Now in a thick bottomed pan melt jaggery and powder sugar.

    Cook this till it teacher soft ball consistancy.

    Switches of the gas and add fried coconut, cashews and dry ginger powder

    Now add crushed fried sev.

  • 10

    Mix till it’s well coated.

  • 11

    Store in air tight container and serve as and when required
