Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 1 cups broken wheat


  • 2 3/4 cups water


  • 1 nos carrot


  • 2 tsp beans


  • 1 nos onion


  • 1 tsp ginger


  • 2 nos green chili


  • 1 sprig curry leaves


  • 500 ml oil


  • 1 tsp salt


  • 1 tsp sugar


  • 1 tsp mustard seeds


  • 1 tsp urad dal


  • 5 nos cashewnuts


  • 10 nos raisins


  • 1 tsp lemon juice

Directions

  • Wash the wheat and drain well
  • Heat oil in kadai and roast the wheat, Keep aside
  • Now heat oil in a cooker ,splutter mustard seeds,urad dal ,and cashew nuts
  • Then add onion, ginger ,green chilli ,curry leaves and salt, saute till transparent
  • Then add vegetables and saute for few minutes
  • Then add hot water and boil
  • Then add wheat and mix well,allow to boil
  • Then check the salt , Add sugar and lemon juice
  • Now close the cooker nd cook for 2 whistle in medium flame
  • After that allow to cool
  • Then open the cooker and with a fork puff up the upmavu
  • So the tasty and easy broken wheat upma is ready to serve
