Ingredients
Serves 4
For Marination : Chicken 1 kgs
turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
Chili Powder 1 tsp
Salt 1 tsp
Ginger,medium 1 nos
Gralic 5 nos
Pepper 1 tsp
Fennel seeds 1/2 tsp
Small onions 100 gms
Big onion 1 nos
green chilli 4 nos
Curry leaves 1 sprig
Tomato,small 1 nos
Green Plantain 2 nos
Hot Water 2 cups
Salt 1 tsp
For Roasting : Grated coconut 3/4 cups
Small Onion 3 nos
garlic 2 nos
Ginger,small 1 nos
Green Chili 2 nos
Fennel seeds 1/4 tsp
Pepper 1/4 tsp
Chilli Powder 1 tbsp
Kashmiri chilli powder 1/2 tbsp
Coriander Powder 2 tbsp
Garam masala 1 tsp
Small onion,for seasoning 3 nos
Directions
Marinate chicken pieces with turmeric powder ,salt and chilli powder
Keep aside for 20 minutes
In a kadai heat coconut oil and add grated coconut ,ginger, garlic,green chilli, curry leaves ,pepper ,fennel seeds and small onions to golden shade
Then add chilli powder ,coriander powder and garam masala d saute until the raw smell goes
Remove from the fire and allow to cool
By adding enough water grind to a fine paste,Keep aside
Heat coconut oil in kadai add ginger-garlic-fennel -pepper paste
Saute for few seconds
Then add small onions along with green chilli d curry leaves
Add salt and saute for few seconds
Then add big onion slices and saute till golden brown colour
Now add tomato pieces and cook well by closing the kadai in medium flame
Then add chicken pieces and mix well
Close the kadai and cook for 5 minutes
Now add ground masala paste and mix well
Close and cook When half cooked if u want u can add potato or plantain pieces
Now add hot water and mix well Close and cook
When done check the taste,adjust accordingly
Finally season with small onion and curryleaves
So ur tasty chicken varutharacha curry is ready to serve
