Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 1 kgs for marination : chicken


  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder


  • 1 tsp chili powder


  • 1 tsp salt


  • 1 nos ginger,medium


  • 5 nos gralic


  • 1 tsp pepper


  • 1/2 tsp fennel seeds


  • 100 gms small onions


  • 1 nos big onion


  • 4 nos green chilli


  • 1 sprig curry leaves


  • 1 nos tomato,small


  • 2 nos green plantain


  • 2 cups hot water


  • 1 tsp salt


  • 3/4 cups for roasting : grated coconut


  • 3 nos small onion


  • 2 nos garlic


  • 1 nos ginger,small


  • 2 nos green chili


  • 1/4 tsp fennel seeds


  • 1/4 tsp pepper


  • 1 tbsp chilli powder


  • 1/2 tbsp kashmiri chilli powder


  • 2 tbsp coriander powder


  • 1 tsp garam masala


  • 3 nos small onion,for seasoning

Directions

  • Marinate chicken pieces with turmeric powder ,salt and chilli powder
  • Keep aside for 20 minutes
  • In a kadai heat coconut oil and add grated coconut ,ginger, garlic,green chilli, curry leaves ,pepper ,fennel seeds and small onions to golden shade
  • Then add chilli powder ,coriander powder and garam masala d saute until the raw smell goes
  • Remove from the fire and allow to cool
  • By adding enough water grind to a fine paste,Keep aside
  • Heat coconut oil in kadai add ginger-garlic-fennel -pepper paste
  • Saute for few seconds
  • Then add small onions along with green chilli d curry leaves
  • Add salt and saute for few seconds
  • Then add big onion slices and saute till golden brown colour
  • Now add tomato pieces and cook well by closing the kadai in medium flame
  • Then add chicken pieces and mix well
  • Close the kadai and cook for 5 minutes
  • Now add ground masala paste and mix well
  • Close and cook When half cooked if u want u can add potato or plantain pieces
  • Now add hot water and mix well Close and cook
  • When done check the taste,adjust accordingly
  • Finally season with small onion and curryleaves
