Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 3 nos big onion


  • 4 tbsp basen powder/ chickpeas powder


  • 1 tbsp rice flour


  • 1/4 tsp hing


  • 2 pinch fennel powder


  • 1/2 tsp chilli powder


  • 2 nos green chilli


  • 2 sprig curryleaves


  • 1 nos ginger,small


  • 1 pinch salt


  • 2 pinch sugar


  • 500 ml oil-for frying

Directions

  • Peel and clean the onion
  • Cut them into fine slices
  • To that add ginger,green chilli,curry leaves ,and salt Mix well
  • Then add chilli powder,asafetida powder and fennel powder
  • Mix well,Keep aside for 10 minutes
  • Then to that add rice flour and basen flour
  • Mix well,finally add sugar and mix
  • Heat oil in a kadai
  • Now pour the coated onion in small small part in to the hot oil
  • Deep fry them
  • Remove from the oil and drain
  • Serve the hot pakoda with chutney or tomato sauce
