Ingredients

Serves 4

  • Rava 1 1/2 cups

  • Curd 1 cups

  • Baking soda 1 tsp

  • Salt 2 pinch

  • Sesame oil 2 tbsp

  • Mustard seeds 1/4 tsp

  • Grated carrot 1/2 cups

  • Green chilli,chopped 1 nos

  • Coriander leaves,chopped 1 sprig

  • Urad Dal 1/4 tsp

  • Chana dal 1 tsp

  • Hing/kayam podi 1/4 cups

Directions

    In a kadai heat oil splutter mustard seeds, urad dal and then add chana dal and roast in medium flame

  • 02

    Then add grated carrot, green chilli , leaves and saute till raw smell goes Now add rawa and roast for 2-3minutes

    In a vessel add beaten curd along with roasted rava mix mix well

    Then add salt and 1 cup of water soak for 20 minutes

    Then check the water consistency I added 1/4 glass more water

    So u add accordingly heat the steamer and get ready so just before making idly add baking soda and mix then immediately pour batter in the mould

    Fill 3/4 th portion or it will spill steam for 10 min or until cooked well

    Serve with spicy Tomato , coconut chutney
