Kadachakka Mezhukkupuratti/Seemachakka Mezhukkupuratti/Bread Fruit Stir Fry

Ingredients

Serves 4

  • Breadfruit 1 nos

  • Dried red chilli(or chilli flakes) 6 nos

  • turmeric powder 2 pinch

  • Salt 1 tsp

  • Water 1 cups

  • Small Onion 12 nos

  • Curry Leaves 2 sprig

  • Coconut Oil 2 tbsp

Directions

    Peel and cut breadfruit into small pieces

  • 02

    Put them in salt water to avoid discolouration

  • 03

    In a kadai add water ,salt and turmeric powder

  • 04

    To that add washed breadfruit pieces

  • 05

    Close and cook in medium flame,Stir in between

  • 06

    When cooked well,switch off the flame

  • 07

    Crush onion and red chill,dont make fine paste

  • 08

    In a kadai heat oil and add crushed chilli-onion mix along with curryleaves

    Saute till the raw smell goes

    Then add cooked breadfruit

  • 11

    Mix well,check the salt

  • 12

    In low flame cook for 5 minutes

    Then sprinkle some more curry leaves

  • 14

    So the tasty mezhukkupuratti is ready to serve

    Best with kanji and Rice
