Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 1 nos breadfruit


  • 6 nos dried red chilli(or chilli flakes)


  • 2 pinch turmeric powder


  • 1 tsp salt


  • 1 cups water


  • 12 nos small onion


  • 2 sprig curry leaves


  • 2 tbsp coconut oil

Directions

  • Peel and cut breadfruit into small pieces
  • Put them in salt water to avoid discolouration
  • In a kadai add water ,salt and turmeric powder
  • To that add washed breadfruit pieces
  • Close and cook in medium flame,Stir in between
  • When cooked well,switch off the flame
  • Crush onion and red chill,dont make fine paste
  • In a kadai heat oil and add crushed chilli-onion mix along with curryleaves
  • Saute till the raw smell goes
  • Then add cooked breadfruit
  • Mix well,check the salt
  • In low flame cook for 5 minutes
  • Then sprinkle some more curry leaves
  • So the tasty mezhukkupuratti is ready to serve
  • Best with kanji and Rice
