Ingredients

Serves 3

  • Unakkalari /Payasam Rice 1 cups

  • Jaggery ,(increase or decrease) 6 nos

  • Salt 1 pinch

  • Grated coconut 2 tbsp

  • Water 3 1/2 cups

  • Cardamom 3-4 nos

  • Ghee 1 tbsp

  • Tulsi leaves 2-3 nos

Directions

    Soak rice for 20 minutes

  • 02

    Then wash well

  • 03

    Take a cooker and pressure cook the rice by adding water for 2 whistle in medium flame

  • 04

    Boil jaggery in water and strain well

  • 05

    When the rice is well cooked ,add jaggery and mix well

  • 06

    Add salt and grated coconut and mix

  • 07

    Now cook for 5 minutes stirring continuously

  • 08

    Finally add ghee and Tulsi

  • 09

    Check the taste,So the tasty payasam is ready to serve
