  • 4 kgs jackfruit

  • 1 1/2 kgs jaggery

  • 2 pinch salt

  • 3 cups water

  • 2 tbsp ghee

  • 1/2 tsp dry ginger powder


  • De seed jack fruit
  • Take a deep bottomed kadai and add jack fruit
  • To this add water and cook by closing the kadai
  • Stir occasionally
  • When the jack fruit is cooke well allow it to cool down
  • Then make paste by adding small amount in a blender by adding water
  • Now switch on the flame and again add this puree to the kadai
  • To that add melted jaggery add 4 glass of water in 1 1/2 kg
  • Now add ghee and mix well
  • Cook in medium flame until u get a thick consistency
  • Check the taste and u can add more jaggery d ghee if u need
  • When the halwa consistency reaches switch off the flame and allow to cool
  • So the tasty healthy jack fruit halwa is ready to serve
