Ingredients

Serves 6

  • MAIDA/ALL-PURPOSE FLOUR 100 gms

  • POWDERED SUGAR 100 gms

  • EGG 4 nos

  • BAKING SODA 1/2 tsp

  • VANILLA ESSENCE/CARDAMOM POWDER 1 tsp

  • GHEE/OIL, FOR GREASING THE COOKER 1 tsp

Directions

    Seperate egg yolks from egg whites

  • 02

    Beat egg whites until stiff peaks using a electric beater or a whisk

  • 03

    After that beat egg yolks and powdered sugar

  • 04

    Add powderedm sugar step by step and beat until creamy consistency

  • 05

    Mix the egg yolk mixture with egg whites

  • 06

    Sift flour and baking soda using a sieve

  • 07

    Step by step add the flour to the egg mix

  • 08

    Combine well using a whisk or a fork

  • 09

    Dont use a beater

  • 10

    Grease the cooker using ghee or oilgrease it moderatelyif oil /ghee ids more the bottom of the cake will become crispy

    Turn on the stove and place an aluminium lid above it

  • 12

    This will act as a barrier between flame and cooker and prevent cake from burning

  • 13

    Place the cooker above the lid and pour the cake mix to it

  • 14

    Close it and cook for 20-25 minutes in low flame

  • 15

    Insert a toothpick to check the cake is cooked or not

  • 16

    If the toothpick remains clean then the cake is cooked

  • 17

    When the cake is ready turn off the flame and allow it to cool down

    Flip the cake to a plate and enjoy

    This cake is so soft and spongy
