Ingredients

Serves 4

  • pumpkin 1 1/2 nos

  • Toor Dal 1/2 cups

  • Chilli Powder 1/2 tsp

  • turmeric powder 1/4 tsp

  • Salt 1 pinch

  • Sugar/Jaggery 2 tbsp

  • Grated Coconut 1 cups

  • Cumin Seeds 1/4 tsp

  • Water 1 cups

  • Mustard seeds 1/2 tsp

  • Dry Red chilli 2 nos

  • Curry leaves 1 sprig

  • Coconut Oil 2 tbsp

Directions

    Wash and cook dal and pumpkin pieces by adding water along with saltchilli powder turmeric powder in medium flame for 2 whistle

  • 02

    After 2 whistle remove from the fire and allow to cool

    Then open the cooker,Mix well

  • 04

    By that time grind coconut cumin seeds along with small amount of water to a fine paste

  • 05

    Add this paste to the cooked dal-pumpkin and mix well

    Allow to boil for 10 minutes in low flame stirring occasionally

    Check the salt if ur pumpkin is not sweet enough u can add 1 tsp of sugar or jaggery into it

    Then its time to season the erisserry

    For that heat oil and splutter mustard seeds then add dry red chilli splits and curry leaves

  • 10

    Pour over the erisserry and close the kadai for 5 minutes

  • 11

    Then mix well and serve with rice
