  • 1 cups bengal gram or chana dal

  • 1.25 cups jaggery

  • 2 tbsp desiccated coconut

  • 1/4 tsp cardamom powder

  • 1 tbsp nova ghee

  • 6 nos cashewnuts


  • Wash and soak chana dal for sometime.
  • Pressure cook it with a teaspoon of ghee.
  • Let the pressure release by itself. Put it in a pan and cook for sometime.
  • Add jaggery to it and allow to cook until it blends well.
  • Add coconut and cardamom powder, mix it and cook for five minutes.
  • In a small pan, roast the cashews in ghee and put over it.
  • Add desiccated coconut and cardamom powder, let cook for sometime.
  • In a small pan, add a little ghee and roast the cashewnuts. Put it over the sweet.
