Ingredients

Serves 5

  • Ethapazham(Ripe Plantain) 1/2 kgs

  • Rice flour 4 tbsp

  • Jaggery 1/2 cups

  • Maida 1 cups

  • Palayankodan Banana 3 nos

  • Water 1/4 cups

  • Coconut oil 3 cups

  • Salt to taste 1 pinch

Directions

  • 01

    Slice the bananas(ethapazham) into thin pieces

  • 02

    Mash the palaymkodan bananas and keep this aside

  • 03

    Melt the grated jagerry with required water and keep it aside

  • 04

    Mix both the flours together, add the jaggery syrup, mashed bananas, salt and mix well to make a batter,The batter should be thicker than the idli batter(add water if required)

    Dip the sliced bananas in the batter

  • 06

    Heat oil in a pan and deep fry the bananas until both sides become golden brown colour

  • 07

    Drain the excess oil and serve hot
