Ingredients

Serves : 5
  • 1/2 nos padavalanga


  • 1 cups kadala mavu ( 100 gm )


  • 1/2 cups rice flour


  • 1 tsp red chilly powder


  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder


  • 1/2 tsp asafoetida powder/kaya podi


  • 200 ml water


  • 200 ml coconut oil


  • 1 pinch salt to taste

Directions

  • Take a bowl and add rice flour, gram flour, red chilly powder, turmeric powder,asafoetida powder, salt and mix it well
  • Add water into it and make a thick batter
  • Peel the skin of snake gourd and remove all the seeds from it and slice them into rounds
  • Heat coconut oil in a pan
  • Dip each snake gourd pieces in this batter and shallow fry on a medium heat till golden colour
  • Drain them using paper towel
  • Tasty Snake Gourd Bajji is ready,Serve hot with tomato sauce
