Ingredients

Serves 5

  • Small ripe banana 2 nos

  • Wheat flour 200 gms

  • Rice flour 2 tbsp

  • Jaggery 100 gms

  • Baking soda 2 pinch

  • Coconut slices 4 tbsp

  • Ghee 2 tsp

  • Cardamom powder 1/4 tsp

  • Water 200 ml

  • Coconut oil 200 ml

Directions

    Wash and Peel the bananas and smash them

  • 02

    Heat ghee in a frying pan,Add coconut slices, fry until golden brown

  • 03

    Remove from heat and keep it aside to cool

    Heat a pan, add the jaggery and water,Once the jaggery is completely dissolved, strain it using a strainer to remove the dirt

    Take a bowl add the wheat flour, rice flour, baking soda, cardamom powder, smashed banana, fried coconut slices and jaggery syrup

    Knead all the ingredients very well make soft dough

    Keep this batter aside for half an hour

    Heat oil in a pan for frying

  • 09

    Once hot, turn the flame to medium

  • 10

    Take a small portion of the batter, shape it into a ball and drop it into the oil and fry until nicely golden

    Repeat for the remaining batter

    Drain the excess oil with a tissue paper

    Tasty Pazham Bonda is ready

    Serve with hot tea or coffee
