Ingredients

Serves 2

  • Jack Fruit Seeds/chakkakuru 200 gms

  • Green chilly 4 nos

  • Curry leaves 1 sprig

  • Pepper powder 1/4 tsp

  • Chick pea flour 5 tsp

  • onion 1 nos

  • ginger 1 nos

  • Garlic cloves 3 nos

  • Coconut oil 200 ml

  • Water 200 ml

  • Salt to taste 1 pinch

Directions

    Wash and Clean jack fruit seeds well

  • 02

    Now cut them into medium size pieces

  • 03

    Heat a pan add chakkakuru, salt and 200 ml of water in a medium flame and cook for 10 minutes

  • 04

    Mash the cooked chakkakuru with a spoon

  • 05

    Take a bowl add mashed chakkakuru, chick pea flour, chopped onion, ginger, green chilly, curry leaves, pepper powder, salt and mix them well

    Make equal sized ball out of it and flatten the balls a little bit by pressing them in-between the palms

  • 07

    Heat coconut oil in a pan and deep fry the vada until it is golden brown,Switch off the flame

  • 08

    Drain excess oil on a tissue paper

  • 09

    Tasty Chakkakuru Vada is ready
