Ingredients

Serves : 2
  • 200 gms jack fruit seeds/chakkakuru


  • 4 nos green chilly


  • 1 sprig curry leaves


  • 1/4 tsp pepper powder


  • 5 tsp chick pea flour


  • 1 nos onion


  • 1 nos ginger


  • 3 nos garlic cloves


  • 200 ml coconut oil


  • 200 ml water


  • 1 pinch salt to taste

Directions

  • Wash and Clean jack fruit seeds well
  • Now cut them into medium size pieces
  • Heat a pan add chakkakuru, salt and 200 ml of water in a medium flame and cook for 10 minutes
  • Mash the cooked chakkakuru with a spoon
  • Take a bowl add mashed chakkakuru, chick pea flour, chopped onion, ginger, green chilly, curry leaves, pepper powder, salt and mix them well
  • Make equal sized ball out of it and flatten the balls a little bit by pressing them in-between the palms
  • Heat coconut oil in a pan and deep fry the vada until it is golden brown,Switch off the flame
  • Drain excess oil on a tissue paper
  • Tasty Chakkakuru Vada is ready
