Ingredients
Serves 5
Tomatoes chopped-3(medium sized)
Big onion finely chopped - 1(medium sized)
Shallots (small onions)peeled and sliced - 100g
Red chillies round (preferrably gundu milagai) - 10-15
Tamarind paste - 1 tsp
Curry leaves-2 sprig
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Urad dal - 1 tsp
oil 1/2 tsp
salt 1 pinch to taste
Directions
Grind tomato, onions,shallots, tamarind, red chilies and salt to a fine paste
Add oil in a kadai, when its hot splutter mustard seeds, urad dal ,curry leaves and finally the tomato mixture and stir well
Saute it till the paste is cooked and the mixture thickens
Serve hot with idlis,dosais etc
