    Cut the bread slices into diamond/square size pieces

    Heat ghhee in a pan and fry these pieces until brown

  • 03

    Finely chop the onions and tomatoes and keep it aside

  • 04

    Take the fried bread crumbs in a separate plate and add oil in the pan

  • 05

    Add mustard seeds

  • 06

    When the mustard seeds starts to sputter, add urad dal and curry leaves and fry until the urdal turns golden brown color

    Now add the chopped green chillies and fry for a second

  • 08

    Add the chopped onions and fry till the onions turns transparent

  • 09

    Add the tomatoes and peas and salt and fry it and add little water to cook the peas

  • 10

    Once the peas are cooked completely, add the fried bread pieces and mix well

  • 11

    Allow the bread upma to cook for 2-3 minutes in low flame

  • 12

    Remove from flame and our upma is ready to be served
