Ingredients

Serves : 25
  • 1/2 cups chickpeas flour/kadalamavu


  • 1/4 cups oil


  • 1 1/2 cups sugar


  • 1 cups ghee


  • 1 tbsp sugar(for sprinkling)

Directions

  • Grease a tray and keep it aside
  • Get rid of lumps by sifting the flour
  • In a heavy bottom pan take sugar and water enough to immerse it
  • Boil this until 1 string consistency,now keep the flame in medium when syrup is nearing its stage
  • Add the flour slowly stirring continuously
  • Mix until smooth,the flame should be always in medium
  • Mix ghee and oil and start adding ghee slowly like 2-3 tbsp at a time
  • Stir until the ghee mixes and then add the next tbsp of ghee repeat the process until ghee is finished
  • When the colur changes to plae and frothy here and there,when it becomes completly frothy,there will be a pleasant smell along with smell of ghee
  • Add the sugar granules now and mix quickly
  • Pour this to the greased tray and level it
  • Sprinkle some sugar if you desire
  • Wait until warm and cut into required shape
  • Let it cool naturally
  • Soft,melt mysore pak is ready now
  • Garnish with chopped almonds
