Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 1 1/2 cups chickpeas, drained and rinsed or boiled chickpeas


  • 1 pinch salt to taste


  • 2 tsp red chilli powder


  • 1 tbsp lemon juice


  • 1 tsp honey


  • 1 tbsp ginger, finely grated


  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

Directions

  • In a bowl, add all the ingredients and mix until the chickpeas are properly coated evenly
  • Roast the chickpeas for about 45 minutes, stirring 2-3 times, until the chickpeas are lightly browned and shrivelled
  • Spread parchment paper on a baking sheet
  • Spread out the chickpeas on the parchment paper
  • Let the roasted chickpeas cool a bit, and serve them hot, warm, or at room temperature with a hot cup of tea or coffee
