Ingredients

Serves : 3
  • 250 gms chicken


  • 2 tbsp oil


  • 1 pinch salt


  • 2 nos onion


  • 2 nos green chillies


  • 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour


  • 1 tsp red chilli powder


  • 1/2 tsp ginger garlic paste


  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder


  • 1 tsp pepper powder


  • 1/4 tsp garam masala


  • 1/4 tsp coriander powder


  • 1 sprig curry leaves, chopped


  • 1 sprig coriander leaves


  • 2 tbsp coconut oil


  • 1/2 cups luke warm water

Directions

  • Clean and wash the chicken pieces
  • Combine all purpose flour, luke warm water, salt, oil and knead well to make a soft dough l
  • Boil the chicken pieces with pinch of salt amd turmeric powder
  • After this drain the stoke and chop the chicken to small pieces
  • Heat oil in a pan and add ginger garlic paste, green chillies, onions and saute for another 5 minutes
  • Add coriander powder, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, pepper powder, and garam masala
  • When the natura aroma smells off, add the shredded chicken, salt and mix well.This is filling for pathiri.
  • Using the dough make small lemon sized balls and flaten it like chapathi
  • Place some filling in the center and palace another pathiri on top of it.
  • Gently press the edges together so it will have shape like in picture
  • Repeat the process for rest of the dough
  • Heat oil in a pan and then deep fry these stuffed pathiris until it turns golden brown. Flip over and cook other side too
  • Irachi Pathiri is ready to be served hot
