Ingredients

Serves 4

  • Jackfruit(Kadachakka) 1 nos

  • Coconut Oil 3 tbsp

  • Salt 1 tsp

  • Shallots 10 nos

  • Curry leaves 2 sprig

  • Water 1 cups

  • Red Chillies(crushed) 5 tsp

  • Mustard seeds 1/4 tbsp

Directions

    Crush Dry chilly and shallots together and keep aside

  • 02

    Peel, wash and cut kadachakka into small pieces

  • 03

    Heat a cooking pan and add kadachakka pieces along with salt and water

  • 04

    Cook under the lid for 10 minutes

  • 05

    Switch off flame and keep it aside

  • 06

    Heat coconut oil in another pan and saute shallots and dry chilly mix

  • 07

    Add curry leaves and cook until the natural aroma goes

  • 08

    Add the previously cooked kadachakka pieces and mix them well

  • 09

    Cook for another 2 minutes and slowly mix all the pieces

  • 10

    Repeat this process until the pieces are well coated with the shallots and dry chilly mix

  • 11

    Now Kadachakka upperi is ready to be served hot
