Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 1 nos jackfruit(kadachakka)


  • 3 tbsp coconut oil


  • 1 tsp salt


  • 10 nos shallots


  • 2 sprig curry leaves


  • 1 cups water


  • 5 tsp red chillies(crushed)


  • 1/4 tbsp mustard seeds

Directions

  • Crush Dry chilly and shallots together and keep aside
  • Peel, wash and cut kadachakka into small pieces
  • Heat a cooking pan and add kadachakka pieces along with salt and water
  • Cook under the lid for 10 minutes
  • Switch off flame and keep it aside
  • Heat coconut oil in another pan and saute shallots and dry chilly mix
  • Add curry leaves and cook until the natural aroma goes
  • Add the previously cooked kadachakka pieces and mix them well
  • Cook for another 2 minutes and slowly mix all the pieces
  • Repeat this process until the pieces are well coated with the shallots and dry chilly mix
  • Now Kadachakka upperi is ready to be served hot
