Ingredients

Serves 3

  • Tamarind 1 nos

  • Dry red chilly 6 nos

  • Shallots 4 nos

  • Jaggery 1 1/2 tsp

  • Coconut oil 2 tsp

  • Salt to taste 1 pinch

  • Water 1 cups

Directions

    Take tamarind in a bowl and add water

    Rub with your hands to dissolve tamarind in water

    Strain into a small pan

  • 04

    Discard the residue

  • 05

    The tamarind paste is ready

  • 06

    In a mixer add pearl onion, dry red chilly and mix it for 2min

  • 07

    Take a bowl and pour tamarind paste, jaggery, the blended pearl onion and red chilly mixture and stir well

    Add salt and coconut oil and mix well

  • 09

    Garnish with green chilly

  • 10

    Serve this chutney with rice
