Ingredients

Serves : 3
  • 1 nos tamarind


  • 6 nos dry red chilly


  • 4 nos shallots


  • 1 1/2 tsp jaggery


  • 2 tsp coconut oil


  • 1 pinch salt to taste


  • 1 cups water

Directions

  • Take tamarind in a bowl and add water
  • Rub with your hands to dissolve tamarind in water
  • Strain into a small pan
  • Discard the residue
  • The tamarind paste is ready
  • In a mixer add pearl onion, dry red chilly and mix it for 2min
  • Take a bowl and pour tamarind paste, jaggery, the blended pearl onion and red chilly mixture and stir well
  • Add salt and coconut oil and mix well
  • Garnish with green chilly
  • Serve this chutney with rice
