Rawrice (Pachari) 1/2 kgs
Dry red chillies 50 gms
Cuminseeds (Jeeraakam) 25 gms
Sesame seeds(Ellu) 25 gms
Asafoetida powder(Kayam) 1 tbsp
Salt ,as required 1 tsp
Directions
For preparing ari kondattam/vattal, grind together all the ingredients
Then add 2 litres water and knead well
Put the mixture in the murukku press
Press it over a cloth and sun dry it
Deep fry the dried kondattam in oil and serve with rice
