1/2 kgs rawrice (pachari)
50 gms dry red chillies
25 gms cuminseeds (jeeraakam)
25 gms sesame seeds(ellu)
1 tbsp asafoetida powder(kayam)
1 tsp salt ,as required
Directions
For preparing ari kondattam/vattal, grind together all the ingredients
Then add 2 litres water and knead well
Put the mixture in the murukku press
Press it over a cloth and sun dry it
Deep fry the dried kondattam in oil and serve with rice
