Ingredients

  • Rawrice (Pachari) 1/2 kgs

  • Dry red chillies 50 gms

  • Cuminseeds (Jeeraakam) 25 gms

  • Sesame seeds(Ellu) 25 gms

  • Asafoetida powder(Kayam) 1 tbsp

  • Salt ,as required 1 tsp

Directions

  • 01

    For preparing ari kondattam/vattal, grind together all the ingredients

  • 02

    Then add 2 litres water and knead well

  • 03

    Put the mixture in the murukku press

  • 04

    Press it over a cloth and sun dry it

  • 05

    Deep fry the dried kondattam in oil and serve with rice
